Honors English IV

Winter Break

Here are the reminders:

Macbeth Essays due: January 7, 2014

I have received several emails about the topic of the essay:

I will give you two options.
1. Write a comparative character analysis between the film version of Macbeth and Othello. It is necessary for you to have looked at the three main characters from Macbeth (Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and Banqou) and Othello (Othello, Desdemona and Iago).

2. Write an essay evaluating one character from Macbeth and Othello (that means two total) to determine if they are a sympathetic or tragic hero.

Be sure to use examples and evidence from the plays.

Portfolios are due January 8, 2014

Reflections are to be double spaced and not less than two pages.

Alternate assignment January 13, 2014

Research autism and aspergers. Create a presentation  in which you create therapeutic options for Christopher John Francis Boone. Include how these techniques would have helped or hindered Christopher in solving his case, how they would have altered the relationship between Christopher and his father, and why is it important to even discuss Christopher and his situation. Presentations should be 3-5 minutes. No product is necessary. Be sure to have visual aides (This can be a powerpoint, prezi, etc).
Dearest PJ,

I am not your momma, and you are no longer  allowed to eat in my classroom.

Love,

HBH
